When I began my first year in High School, I was so nervous about my grades. I had been able to keep up a 4.0 since I began going to school and I was worried that I would bend under the pressure of High School. I knew that there would be many more obstacles ahead of me on my way to a good college, I was only hoping to find a way to keep on my game. I was so happy when my dad gave me the inspiration I needed to succeed, he told me that if I kept up my 4.0, he would take me on a New York City vacation.

I had always wanted to go on a New York City vacation and I knew that with that in my mind, I would be able to keep my grades up. When my last report card came out and I had achieved my constant 4.0 GPA, I screamed and ran around the house to tell my dad. All I had to do was hand it over to him and he knew, we were already on our way to our New York City vacation. I had a wonderful time and I felt even better about the New York City vacation because I really earned it.

People Watching In The New York City Subway

The people in our country have all different kinds of hobbies that span all possible imaginings. As for me, I have a different type of hobby, I love to people watch. I actually have made a study out of it. I have dozens of journals filled with the experiences I have shared with those around me and I have even been talking to an editor to publish them. I can easily say that the best people watching location I have ever been was the New York City subway.

The first time that I went to ride the New York City subway, I was shocked at how many interesting people were around me. There were far more musicians and artists set up than I would have ever imagined and I was feeling inspiration from every direction. I knew right at the moment I took my last step down into the New York City subway, I would never find a place like it.

Any time that I feel I am lacking inspiration or connection to my fellow American, I just read through my New York City subway journal entries and I feel much better. I really hope that my work gets published so I may share my experiences with the world!

The fact that I have been able to visit New York on a consistent basis makes me one of the most lucky people that I know. I love the feeling of being familiar with New York, I really feel that I belong there and that it is another home to me. My favorite part of New York is Manhattan, and one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen on all of my many world travels is the Manhattan part of the New York skyline at dusk.

Every day that I have spent in New York, I have made sure to be able to see a good view of the New York skyline around sunset. Imagine having the most delicious piece of New York cheesecake while watching the vibrant colors of the sunset fading over the New York skyline. I could not imagine anything more lovely if I tried. I am really hoping that one of these days I will be enjoying my New York skyline and look besides me to see the man of my dreams doing the same thing. I really feel that eventually I will be a real New Yorker.

When my best friend and I decided to take a vacation together during the summer, we knew exactly where we wanted to go. Neither of us had ever been to New York and we had each been dreaming about going for many years. There are few places on earth that are as amazing as the city of New York. Growing up I had several opportunities to visit New York City and see many of its wondrous sites. I remember walking by the Waldorf Astoria amazed by its magnificence and the amazement I felt the first time I saw the Empire State Building and Statue of Liberty. Back then we were able to walk up the long circular stairs into Ms. Liberty’s head to view the New York skyline. It was amazing! My memories of eating hot dogs at the New York Mets and New York Yankees games with my grandfather are still clear as day. I loved the thrill of riding on the New York City subway.

Recently I decided I wanted to share some of my childhood memories with my own children and set out to plan a New York City vacation. A New York City vacation is one that I've always dreamed of taking. My Kids Have Finally Seen The Statue Of Liberty

Last year, my children had to do a project about the Statue of Liberty, since then they had asked me countless times about going to visit New York. I really wanted to take them on an educational tour of the city and the many tourist attractions, so I began planning our trip.

My husband thought it was a great idea and hopped on board right away. It was only a matter of months before we set out on our adventure. It was so funny when we took them to Battery park to see the Statue of Liberty from afar, they had no idea that we were about to take them on the ferry and actually go to it. My children and husband had never been on a ferry before and they were a little apprehensive about it at first but as soon as we got going, they loved it! We took so many pictures as we grew closer and closer to the Statue of Liberty and our children, who are usually too cool to hug their parents in public, had their arms wrapped around us the whole way there.

When we got to the island I was reawakened to the beauty of the Statue of Liberty and everything that it stands for. My husband, who had never seen it in person, was hushed in awe in front of her. My children were the most effected by how large and intimidating the Statue of Liberty is. They brought their notebooks and began writing about her so that they could earn extra credit for school. It was the all around best trip that we have ever shared together as a family.

My husband and I had always talked about taking a family trip, as soon as our children were old enough to travel. Unfortunately, by the time we could travel with our children, our financial situation was less than supportive of a trip. I am very lucky to have so many family members that live in New York. I love to go and visit the city and my family members but my favorite thing about my trips might surprise you. I absolutely love to ride the New York City Subway.

All of my friends think that it is so funny that I love the New York City subway because I am considered by most that know me as a very prissy girl. I love to people watch and listen to all of the performers in the New York subway and I never feel concerned for my safety. I even love the grime and tagging that I see inside of the New York City subway cars. Most importantly, I feel that it is so much more cost efficient to ride the subway. There is absolutely no way that I could visit the city as much as I have, if I would have traveled by cab. I love how confident and savvy I feel when I ride the New York subway.

It is so interesting to come out of the subway and see such different sights at each stop. I would not trade in riding the New York City subway for anything and I can not wait until the next time that I get to.

Of all of the places I have traveled and of all of the skylines I have seen, the New York city skyline is by far the most impressive. I can still remember the first time that I saw the New York skyline. I was Nineteen years old and I was traveling by myself to see my uncle.

As we flew over the city to land, I could not believe the wonder of everything below me, I instantly fell in love. I have arrived in the middle of the day and by the time I got to my uncles place in Manhattan, unpacked and changed clothes, the sun was beginning to set. My uncle had big plans to take me out to eat and walk around a little bit, even though I was really tired, I was very excited. As we walked into the hall from his fourteenth story apartment, I looked out the window. I was almost brought to tears at the beauty of the New York skyline at night. I felt so small and so infinite all at the same time. I felt like I was one with the city and I had never felt so alive before.

When I saw the New York skyline, I was changes forever. I felt like anything I wanted to do with my life was possible and I knew that one day, I would be living in New York and looking at that beautiful New York skyline for the rest of my life.

Although I am an Arizona native, I really feel as though I am an east coaster at heart. My whole family is from the east coast and I have always felt the pull of New York. I have been lucky enough to know early on that there are cheap hotels in New York.

Because of the ease of finding cheap hotels in New York, I have been able to take many trips to visit the city. There is no other place in the world that is similar to New York. I love to walk through the city with all of the New Yorkers and see how well I can blend in. I have been able to figure out the subway system perfectly while staying in the cheap hotels in New York. I feel like I do not come across as a tourist at all and I feel great about it. When I am in New York, I feel like my perfect self. I feel independent and brave, I feel strong. Traveling to New York always re-inspires me and makes me feel more alive.

     I remember the first time that I ever saw the New York skyline. I will never forget the feeling of my heart rising up inside of me, from that moment I was never the same again. I felt a renewed sense of self, I felt powerful.

     Every single time that I venture back to New York and I see that unique New York City skyline, I have that same fluttering feeling. I have traveled to many places in the United States, but nothing compares to New York City. I love the hustle and bustle of the city. I love the sounds and the collaboration of cultures there. I even love the confusion that I get when I am riding on the New York City subway, because I know that when I step out onto the street, I will be Looking up at that beautiful New York skyline.

     When my son is old enough to travel and enjoy his surroundings, I will surely be taking him to New York City. My good friend and her husband and my friends sister went on a New York City vacation in October. I told them they would love the hustle and bustle there and the tremendous food and sights. I wasn’t wrong. They all came back excited and wanting to go again, even though it was colder than they thought at that time of year. They saw all the major attractions, like the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty and explored all of Central Park plus used the New York City subway for many destinations. “Kiss me,” I told him. The air felt frigid. I wondered if it was going to snow. I was on a winter romantic New York City vacation with my true love. We stood still near the tree at Rockefeller Center. Everything felt like a movie. And like the movies, you know exactly what happened next.

New York City can be one of the most romantic cities in the world, especially during the winter. So many films are set in Manhattan, especially romantic films. We made sure to visit Serendipity, a cafe central to the movie named Serendipity. We went ice skating at Rockefeller Center where we met other couples having their own romantic New York City vacation. We went window shopping along Fifth Avenue where we visited Tiffany & Co. where I felt like Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany's staring through the glass, admiring the jewelry on display. Even though the city was so big and dense with people, I felt as if we were alone in our own world. New York City has the ability to make you feel that way.

Our New York City vacation was a phenomenal experience that I will remember for the rest of my life.

I have been fortunate to experience New York City several times. My husbands family lives in New Jersey about 45 minutes away from Manhattan. There is nothing like flying into JFK airport and looking out to see the New York skyline. My favorite time to take a New York City vacation is the holiday time. There is nothing like ice skating at Rockefeller Center and having a hot chocolate afterwards. This is also the time of year to see the Rockettes perform a show at Radio City Music Hall. The one thing I always wanted to do during Christmas time was to take a carriage ride through Central Park. That is one tourist attraction that I will have to put on my list for next time. We have never had a New York City vacation during New Years either, but it would be something to ring in the New Year at Times Square with the rest of the world. There are vacation deals out there no matter what time of year you come to New York City.

I have only seen New York City once and I desperately want to go there again. I was only eight years old the first time I saw New York City. My family was taking a brief vacation in New York, primarily to see Niagara Falls, but we also toured New York City for about a day on our way there. I remember it was wonderful. This city is so alive with energy and magnetism. I came from a very small town in Massachusetts, so as you can imagine, I could hardly believe my eyes when first taking in this bustling metropolis. We saw the Statue of Liberty, and it was so incredible to actually see something that before I had only learned about in textbooks. But I think my favorite part was watching the New York skyline as we took the ferry to Ellis Island. A New York City vacation was exhilarating when I was a child, but I think it would be even better now that I'm an adult. I would love to see a Broadway show, or Madison Square Gardens and Central Park. There is so much activity in this city that I know I wouldn't even be able to pack everything into a New York City vacation that I would want to do. I've been considering a New York City vacation for some time now, so once in a while I go online to check out airfares and hotel prices. I love New York, just like the song says. I have been there several times, only spending a couple of days there each time, since I had in-laws that lived in New Jersey. I honestly still haven’t seen everything there is to see yet. We took our family there a few years back and did the typical tourist sites. We went up the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty and saw phenomenal views of the New York skyline. We had to take the New York City subway too. That was quite an experience within itself. We were lucky enough to snag some tickets to a New York Yankees game at the original stadium and I know my kids will forever remember the house that Ruth built. New York has so much to offer and you can’t run out of things to do. Central Park, alone is a destination that can take days to see everything the park has to offer. If you get a chance, a New York City vacation has to be on your list of travel destinations.

I have had the pleasure of finding some great deals online on cheap hotels in New York in the past. Last year, about the middle of March, my best friend and I found a smoking deal online on cheap hotels in New York. We were able to actually get such a crazy bargain on cheap hotels in New York that we could afford to book an entire week to see the city and all the awesome sights that it has to offer! I have never had more fun when in New York then that last trip; which easily goes down as one of the best vacations that I have ever been on! New York Yankees Open with a Win

The New York skyline is probably buzzing today after their Yankees commanded a decisive win at home last night in game 1 of the playoffs against the Twins (video recap below). Game 2 is set for this afternoon and if the Twins pitching can’t bring it together by lowering the chances of New York Yankees homeruns we may see Jeter doing the same thing today. Man, it would be nice to see take a New York City vacation this week. It is probably impossible to get tickets to the new Yankees stadium without paying absorbent fees from scalpers but just being around the electric atmosphere would be fun. Don’t think the Twins have what it takes to make round two after barely squeaking by into the first round.

It has always been one of my dreams to take a vacation in the Big Apple during the Holiday season. Seeing snow amongst all the tall buildings would really be something. I haven’t been back since a teen but it was an unforgettable trip after visiting old Yankee stadium. If the Yankees keep winning, it may be the perfect white Christmas in New York come December.

Seeing the Sites of the New York Skyline

People often look in awe and wonder at the New York Skyline. Being a native of New York State, even I can understand the beauty in that image. It's not mountains and lush and green, but the gray concrete meeting the ocean blue holds some wonder that is beyond mere words.

When traveling to New York City, there are some points of interest on the New York Skyline that I have most certainly wanted to visit and see. The obvious would be the Statue of Liberty. When we were first married, my husband and I had the joyous pleasure of visiting Miss Liberty on his son's Cub Scout trip. She is most certainly a magnificant site to see up close and personal. Fortunately for us, we even have pictures from Liberty Island with the Twin Towers still in the background. Now, the site of where they stood is another must-see for those planning a New York City vacation.

I have also had the pleasure on field trips in my school days to visit the Empire State Building. The most important and fun thing to do while at the Empire State Building is to ride the elevator to the top and check out the sprawling city below through the view finders. This is always a treat.

There are several more things to do in New York City, and there are far more sites to see in the New York skyline. These are just the top two that I happened to get to experience first.
