There are few places on earth that are as amazing as the city of New York. Growing up I had several opportunities to visit New York City and see many of its wondrous sites. I remember walking by the Waldorf Astoria amazed by its magnificence and the amazement I felt the first time I saw the Empire State Building and Statue of Liberty. Back then we were able to walk up the long circular stairs into Ms. Liberty’s head to view the New York skyline. It was amazing! My memories of eating hot dogs at the New York Mets and New York Yankees games with my grandfather are still clear as day. I loved the thrill of riding on the New York City subway.

Recently I decided I wanted to share some of my childhood memories with my own children and set out to plan a New York City vacation.
