Of all of the places I have traveled and of all of the skylines I have seen, the New York city skyline is by far the most impressive. I can still remember the first time that I saw the New York skyline. I was Nineteen years old and I was traveling by myself to see my uncle.

As we flew over the city to land, I could not believe the wonder of everything below me, I instantly fell in love. I have arrived in the middle of the day and by the time I got to my uncles place in Manhattan, unpacked and changed clothes, the sun was beginning to set. My uncle had big plans to take me out to eat and walk around a little bit, even though I was really tired, I was very excited. As we walked into the hall from his fourteenth story apartment, I looked out the window. I was almost brought to tears at the beauty of the New York skyline at night. I felt so small and so infinite all at the same time. I felt like I was one with the city and I had never felt so alive before.

When I saw the New York skyline, I was changes forever. I felt like anything I wanted to do with my life was possible and I knew that one day, I would be living in New York and looking at that beautiful New York skyline for the rest of my life.
