I understand why people from the Big Apple come to other cities in the country and talk up how much better the New York skyline is. Past being a little city centric, New Yorkers really do live within a fast paced melting pot of high rises, honking cabbies and denser population of people not found anywhere else in America. I have not been back to the city since a kid. I went there with my parents because part of my family lives over there. I clearly remember how cool it was to step foot in the now replaced New York Yankees stadium.
I have never seen a parking lot so filled up with cars. You literally parked behind someone, boxing them in and within moments of exiting your car, other people’s cars parked leaving no escape for you until they left. It was all about packing as many vehicles into a single rectangle slab of concrete as possible. Let’s just saying leaving early to beat the after game traffic was not even a thought.
I’d like to go there now being over 21 to see all the 24/7 nightlife. The New York skyline never sleeps. There are always people out and about. For those who have never taken a New York City vacation, I highly recommend it.
