I have been fortunate to experience New York City several times. My husbands family lives in New Jersey about 45 minutes away from Manhattan. There is nothing like flying into JFK airport and looking out to see the New York skyline. My favorite time to take a New York City vacation is the holiday time. There is nothing like ice skating at Rockefeller Center and having a hot chocolate afterwards. This is also the time of year to see the Rockettes perform a show at Radio City Music Hall. The one thing I always wanted to do during Christmas time was to take a carriage ride through Central Park. That is one tourist attraction that I will have to put on my list for next time. We have never had a New York City vacation during New Years either, but it would be something to ring in the New Year at Times Square with the rest of the world. There are vacation deals out there no matter what time of year you come to New York City.
