One of my son-in-laws is going to University in New York to be a dentist. He will be finished in about a year and a half.  My husband and I are planning to go there for his graduation and while we are there, we are going on a New York City vacation. I can hardly wait. There are several sites I want to visit while we are there. The Empire State Building is one and the Statue of Liberty is another. I also want to take a ride on the New York City subway and, if it's not too early in the year, I would love to see a New York Yankees game. It's about an 8 hour drive to New York City from where we'll be staying, so we will need to do some searching online for cheap hotels in New York. I don't mean anything run down, just a hotel that's not too expensive. My daughter and son-in-law have been there before and they are really excited to take us there with them right after his graduation.
